The blue hue to them looks just like the blue light from the sky on a nice sunny day. My dark basement has been transformed into what feels like an outside park. I was glad to find your website and the info offered on your products. The information is very useful as it is based on actual data (image that in this day and age!). I will fill you in on the results of your product after some time of use.

I will tell other customers to be careful with the products out there. We recently purchased an Alaskan Northern lights product and were dismayed with the low quality of the box. The materials were, as if bought at the local hardware store...could have done it myself for much less than they charge! I can image what kind of E.M.F. leakage that box has!

I purchased 2 Sun-A-Lux light boxes in February 8, 1996 and it was one of the best investments that I have ever made in my lifetime. I purchased a Sunwave SAD Light model #C-12-HL from American Environmental Products about a year ago for my wife. My wife gets up between 4:00 and 5:00 AM to teach school and gets home after 5:00 in the evening. With that schedule from October through March in New England, she receives little or no natural light throughout the day. I read a little about seasonal affective disorder on the Internet and I recognized the symptoms my wife was suffering from…headaches, lack of energy, "blues", crankiness. I also recognized that these symptoms showed up in the Fall and left in the Spring.

She has used the light methodically for a year now. We all laughed at first because it seemed funny to see her sitting in front of this bright light for 30 minutes or more. My daughter calls it "Mom’s Happy Light", but it is no laughing matter these days. It works and has made a significant improvement in the quality of my wife’s life during the winter months. She is not inclined to take Tylenol as she used to, and her disposition is greatly improved throughout the winter season. My daughter has found that it makes a great makeup light and she, too, spends 15 to 30 minutes a day reaping the benefits of the light.

The service from American Environmental Products has been great and they have a good web-site with interesting related articles, as well. I have recommended them to others I know who seem to share my wife’s SAD symptoms. Thanks for a great, healthful product.
